bike4peace leaves everett, washington august 1st and arrives in washington d.c. on september 22nd, world care free day. for the past 2 years bike4peace riders have promoted cycling as peacefull transportation. "we would rather get around on our bicycles than kill for oil".
we are hoping to keep this going year after year and get more and more cyclists to join. if you can ride with us for a day or two, maybe a week, what ever you can, please join us! if you are interested, come to zippys java lounge, 1804 hewitt ave. everett on june 22nd @ 7pm for a benefit. seattle folk singer jim hinde will be performing. check jim out at pike place market almost any day of the week.
we want to encourage cyclists from other areas in the country to start their own bike4peace route and meet us in d.c. on the 22nd. forming a kind of critical mass converging in d.c.
imagine, a national critical mass! i have and believe it can happen.
this is a call to all cycilsts and activists out there.
